Big Dreams Seem To Escape Me

I've been using The Secret for about a year now and seen some pretty good results. But whenever I try to focus on some of the big things they talk about in the DVD - you know, mansions and millions, I can't seem to get my mind around it. How come?
-Frank S.
Chicago

This is a common concern and has to do with "lack of worthiness" - the sense of not being good enough. Virtually everyone has a ceiling over their dreams when they begin practicing The Law of Attraction consciously, which in turn limits what they believe they can achieve.

Everything is possible, limited only by those beliefs. This is a wonderful stage in our life when we begin to recognize the self imposed restrictions that have been holding us back. We recommend the following recipe:

-conduct a "life review" where you pin-point those times in your life when things didn't go the way you wanted.

-especially, look for repeating patterns, they will show you key blocks that ripple out into every area of your life - large and small.

-once you isolate these blocks you will likely find some form of guilt associated with them. The next step is to forgive yourself.

-after that, affirm your value as a child of the universe who deserves to receive all that it contains.

-give thanks that it is done.

-repeat as needed.

Whatever Is True for You

This is more of a statement than a question: I've used "Alternative Medicine" for many years and experienced amazing results. Part of this discipline involves "Positive Imagery" as well. I get the sense that "The Secret" is suggesting we abandon everything we believe in and just "think" ourselves well.
-Patricia

We understand that many people have that concern. "Do we just think about what we want and expect it to show up?" The Bible says: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7

Literally, this means whatever we believe is true for us...not necessarily for others. If our faith in our belief is great enough, then yes, we need only ask or focus in our mind and it will manifest in the material world. Most people however, do not yet possess that kind of faith and require an intermediary such as a pill, a mantra, a leader, an affirmation, etc.

If this is true for you, if a doctor or a herb represents that intermediary, then definitely you should use it until what it represents within your mind is strong enough that it is no longer needed.

This Stuff Hasn't Worked for Me

I've use this stuff for years and never saw the kind of results you see in the movie. What do you say about that?
-Richard
Reno, Nevada

We hear that a lot. In fact, all of us use The Law of Attraction every moment of every day. Energy can be used to create or destroy. We need to explore "what" we are thinking. Many of our thoughts and Intentions contain negative connotations despite our desire to manifest positive results.

For example, if your Intention is to quit smoking and you focus on quitting smoking...then your Subconscious Mind is registering the fact that you smoke and swings into action to replicate the condition in your life.

Instead, you might want to re-word your Intention to specify what you want exactly, such as: "I see myself with loads of energy and healthy lungs." Those are the conditions that will be drawn into your life.

How old is "The Secret"

I'd like to know how old The Secret is...seems to me this has been around for awhile.
-Scott N.
Sacramento, USA

You are absolutely right Scott, "The Secret" is as old as the universe. In fact, everything we see in the universe was created using it! What we think about materializes from invisible thought to visable form.

You will find it in every religious tradition and spiritual philosophy. For example, in the Bible the phrase "what you sow you reap"
Galatians 6:7 is "The Secret" in a nutshell.

But "The Secret" has repackaged this ancient truth in a way that is inspiring people all around the world to take responsibility for their lives as the creators of their own reality.

Do ALL thoughts manifest?

I hear a lot about the need to focus and energize our desires. What about casual thoughts, do they manifest too?
-Isabella

Rarely! We have a new thought every 6 seconds on average. For most people these 'casual' thoughts are negative. If every one of them manifested, the world would have destroyed itself long ago.

Nevertheless, every thought does have a 'kind of form' not yet visible to our limited eyesight. Most of these thoughts are counteracted by other thoughts and neutralized before they can appear as people, places, things or circumstances in the thinker's life.

When we place our 'attention' on our 'intentions' and add passion to the mix, we will always see those intentions manifest in some way.
